Let's Try Again

Right, I'm gonna try and post something properly today. If it doesn't work, I appologise :) To start off with I got a great package from my Amigurumi Addiction swap partner, Sewarty, on Craftster!
A Yeti!! Yay!! He's so lovely! Check out his little nipples lol! I love him!
I also got some yarn, sweeties, a crochet heart and beads!
Thank you so much Sewarty! I love everything! Also this week I took the plunge and bought my first Blythe!
She's a Simply Thumpty Thump - I don't know what I'm going to call her yet though :) I've wanted one for about a year now, but never went ahead and bought one. But after seeing Jills Simply Bubble Boom though I got so jealous I just had to get one lol! So alot of Thanks has to go to Jill!! :D I can't wait to make some cute clothes!!

Post Secrets 6 & 7

Back: 'I color code my planner and as stressed as everything might make me all the colors make me smile! (This is a nicer version of a month in my planner. Everything is there just with names/locations/cussing left out and actually legible for others than me. The real pages writing is something like this: Another real page but not as crazy)

I used to do this when I was at school with my weekly lesson planner! It made it nicer to look at :)

'He's an instigator. He's an attention whore. Bit I don't know what I'd do without my little man.'

I feel the same way about my pets. They play up alot of the time but I don't know what I'd do with out them, and dread the day they won't be here anymore.

Again, Thank you to the people that sent me these cards!

Post Secrets 3 & 4

Front: 'Old people make me feel unfomfortable'
Back: 'I feel so guilty about this because I even avoid my own grandmother'

Don't feel bad - there's a phobia of old people called Gerontophobia, it's quite common *hugs*

'I Want To Join The Club'

I've never seen Glee, but have seen it advertised on Channel 4. It looks like alot of fun!

Thank you to the people that sent me these lovely cards! I'm collecting them all up and sticking them on the back of my door!

Post Secret No.2

I recieved my second Post Secret on Saturday!

It reads: 'I bought a sewing machine in 2008, this is the first time I've used it. Hopefully I can improve in the future and not break anymore needles. People usually think I am an avid machine sewer when they see my machine... I don't correct them.'

I can relate to this card too - I bought a £1500 Gibson guitar a few years ago but have never really used it. People think I'm a great guitarist because I own a Gibson!

Thank you to the Craftster that sent me their secret :)

Post Secret No.1

Over on Craftster.org I am taking part in the latest round of the Post Secrets Swap.

The swap is inspired by the fab site Post Secrets, where anonymous people send in postcards with a secret written on them. I love this idea, so decided to join the swap.

I got my first card the other day, here it is:

It's a beautiful card, and I can totally relate with this person. Whoever you are - I hope you feel like you have catched up soon *hugs*.

More Post Secrets as I recieve them...

Little Visitor Swap 2010

Do you remember last year I took part in the Little Visitor Swap on Craftster.org? Well they're running the swap again this year and I'm gonna take part!

I loved doing this swap last year so I know it's gonna be loads of fun this time round! Last time I sent off Eddie the Eggbert...

... and hosted Walter the rainbow dinosaur from Minnesota, USA...

...I miss him! This year I'm sending Gladys the Monstie...

... and hosting Gus the Turkey from Australia!

Isn't he lovely?! We're gonna have lots of fun! I plan on taking him to London for a sightseeing tour, Basildon Shopping Centre for some retail therapy, Southend for a stroll down the pier and lots of other places! Plus if he arrives by the 15th June he's gonna go with me to see Aerosmith at The O2 and Green Day at Wembley Stadium! Yay!

I'm also gonna be starting a blog for him, like I did for Walter last year. I'll let you know when it's up and running!

What I've Been Making

I haven't been crocheting much in the last week - I think I did so much the week before that I needed a rest! But I did make this little guy...

Sushi Friends Cat

Sushi Friends Cat Face

I made him using this fab pattern by Wayuki on Craftster.org! Isn't he cute?! The pattern also includes some little sushi pieces for him and his bear friend to eat! Cuteness! I haven't made them, yet, but I do plan to.

I also found a great pattern for Blue Totoro on Ravelry! Think I might have to make him next.

I'm very tempted by Inchies, and these lovely examples by Phizzychick make me want to try them even more! An Inchie is basically just a square of cardboard that's 1'' by 1'', and you just draw/paint/whatever on it to make mini pieces of art. I just wish I could draw lol!

Bunnys, Russell Brand and Journals

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

I didn't get up to much (as usual...); my Nan came round on Saturday, which is always nice though.

On Sunday I got an email from the lovely Slingmomma from Craftster.org saying she'd finished pattern testing my Petal The Bunny ami pattern! I love seeing the ami's people make from my patterns! If my testers send me pictures after they've made their ami's I always save them onto my computer, I love looking back at them!

Slingmomma said I could use the pictures on my blog, so here she is!

Cute, a?! She's gonna be sent off in a swap; I hope Slingmomma's swap partner loves her as much as I do!

And OMG, guess what I got at the weekend?! Finally, tickets to see Russell Brand! Yay! He's been promising to do another gig in London since August, now it's finally been anounsed! It's gonna be at The Royal Albert Hall - posh! I've seen him once before - earlier this year at the O2. That gig is gonna be out on DVD in November! I better not be on it - I would be so embarrassed!

I'm thinking of starting a journal. I already have a diary but I don't write in it that often. I was looking around Craftster on Sunday evening and found a thread about what people write in their journals, it was very inspiring! Think I might do one in list format and keep my normal diary too. If you have a journal, what do you write about? I need more inspiration lol!

And Just Because....

I was looking around online the other week to try and find something I can do with my hair as it's getting a bit long and boring, and I came across this photo! Look at this girls hair, I think it's brilliant! I'm a massive fan of bright hair - I've dyed my hair every colour (except blond), the best being bright (and I mean BRIGHT) red afew years back. I'd love to dye my hair again, but I bet this type of colour job is a bugger to look after! Imagine all them colours running together?!

Jellyfish And Walter!

Walter's arrived!! He was dropped off by the postman on 3rd June and has settled in nicely! I have set up a seperate blog for him, which is here.

The 2 weeks are up on the testing for my Jellyfish Amigurumi Pattern, so I put it on sale today! Check it out here. I like to give all my ami's names, so I chose to call him Jacob lol! No reason, it just began with a J!

I've asked on Craftster.org for testers for my Tilly The Turtle ami pattern, and again I had lots of lovely people willing to test it out for me :o) I should have the pattern perfected in about 2 weeks time and then put up in my Etsy shop :o)

LV Partners and Jellyfish Testers

The partners were announced for the LV Swap today; Eddie's going to America!! He's mega excited, he's going to be sent off tomorrow! Here he is getting ready for his long journey!

I'm hosting Walter the dinosaur for the summer! He's lovely! We're gonna have lots of fun; including my hoilday to Cyprus!

Two testers have finished testing my jellyfish pattern; they're both excellent!! We've had Gimpy from CrazyCristyC, and Rupert from MissFlynn, which you can see here.

Big Thanks to them both for testing it for me, and to all the testers! It's really helping me out!
