Hey Ho

Hi!

Sorry I haven't been around much, to tell you the truth I haven't done any amigurumi in over 2 months :( I've been giving crochet on the whole a break, but am now starting to find my feet again. I think my problem is that I'm not doing the Brentwood Craft Fair this Christmas, so I have no one to crochet for. I hope everyone else is getting on ok though!

Another reason why I'm popping by is to tell you that my brothers band that I mentioned in September, FTL, has been entered into a competition to support McFly on their upcoming Spring Tour! Every vote counts, so if you can please check out the McFly Battle Of The Bands page and vote!

Happy Birthday Glen

It's my brothers 24th birthday today. Happy Birthday! :D I don't usually make him much (he's too cool to wear anything I make him...) but this year I made him this Lightning Bolt Scarf in his favorite colour...

He loved it! He probably won't wear it (lol) but will put it on his wall to pin badges to :) I think I'm going to make myself one in pink!

I loved the pattern, it was really easy to follow. I completed it in about 4 hours, over 2 days - quite a quick scarf :)

Also, while we're on the subject of my brother, he and his band FTL have been recording a new CD this year, and today set up their FaceBook page. You can view it here! There will be a CD out in the up coming months and a proper website too. And a video. And merch. Busy.

Day 17 - An Art Piece (Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, etc.).

I can't draw to save my life, so I picked something by someone else.

This is a pencil drawing by my brother Glen, of Nikki Sixx and Kat Von D. He's always been really good at drawing ever since he was little - a talent I've always been jealous of. It must be so nice to just sit there and draw something. To draw something well lol He has drawn loads of pictures but I think this is one of his best - it looks like a photo! :D
