If you count from the time I made meters and meters of chains as a kid, it took me about 20 years lol! But from when I looked at them Youtube videos and learnt that way, it took me about a week to complete the tomato. After him, I made a chick in the same method and a small octopus within a couple of days.
when i started making the knitted character i had two or three attempts before i got going, it didn't take me long to make him up, maybe about a week but ages before i gave him a face. Don't know what it about faces but i just don't have any inspiration/motive to do them

My first afghan took me 3 weeks to finish, it was a ripple pattern and its upstairs on my son's bed right now.
