Pink Jellyfish: A Work In Progress

I've been asked to do another craft fair this Christmas! So I need more 'stock'. Que crazy fast crocheting, including this Jellyfish made from my Jacob The Jellyfish pattern!

I start, as always, with the main body/head of the toy. I chose bright pink for this one. Nice!

This is the head/body, the bottom of the body and the hanging loop finished. I like to use 2 different colours for my jellyfish and thought these 2 pinks worked well together.

Starting to make the 1st of 4 big tentacles (are they called tentacles on jellyfish?! Stingers?!!) . It's basically just a chain with lots of DC's into each chain stitch.

Big tentacles done, time for the smaller ones. These little guys need a bit of help curling up, so I wind them round a pencil/pen.

All the jellyfish parts done! Time for the sewing. There's quite alot...

All the tentacles sewn on to the bottom of the body. I arrange them in a kind of 3-9-6-12 pattern to make them even.

With the bottom of the body sewn on, she's finished! Took a couple of hours - most of that was the sewing lol! Anyone got a name?!

I've made 6 jellyfish in all, 3 for Brentwood and 3 for the other show I've been asked to do. Yep, they ASKED me to do it lol! I hope they're not dissapointed with my stuff! More WIP's to come, as I'm making things all the time for the fairs. My amigurumi army is growing...

  1. Yeah, they're tentacles. Stingers maybe, too?

Of course, since I'm a Spanish minor, when I read this: Que crazy fast crocheting I was like buh? What does she mean "what" crazy fast crocheting. OH WAIT, IT'S ENGLISH. Or French? que? Cue? CUE! THAT'S IT.

K, I definitely thought I was going crazy for a minute there. :b
