Most of the yarn I buy is from shops like Wilkinsons, QD, HobbyCraft, Pound Stretchers, my local market and basically anywhere I see nice yarn on my travels. I also found a great yarn shop in neigbouring Benfleet, which had the biggest selection of acrylic DK I've ever seen! So now when I want a certain colour I'm more than likely to go there.
I've also done the odd yarn swap with crafty friends, which is great as it's an oppertunity to get some (usually) American yarn. I know it's a sin to like Red Heart Super Saver, but I love it!
same as you really wherever great yarn is to found I love Boyes they have everything. Wherever i go if theres a Boyes i have to visit. One opened recently in Doncaster so now I can go there every week.
ReplyDeleteI've also got the odd pack or two off ebay
Hahaha, Pound Stretchers.
ReplyDeleteI need to send you more good American yarn. I think most of the really good high class yarn is international though, like Cascade, Malabrigo, etc etc.
Nothin like name dropping yarn brands. :b Forget celebs.
American yarn is neat to you just like british yarn is neat to me! XD then again i love everything non american cause i am a hater. lol
ReplyDeleteJoan - Are you in the UK? I never realised!
