He's a bit wonky as he was my first go at writing a tooth pattern. But I'm happy with how he turned out! I would write up the pattern, but it involves some weird stitching together bits and I don't think anyone would be able to understand me lol!
Over the weekend I also made some more mini octopus'...
For these two I re-wrote the legs part so they can be made in one piece, instead of 8 individual pieces. Plus it makes it look abit neater...
I will have the pattern for that up next week.
I also made 3 coin pouches...
... inspired by the Hundred Yen Pouch pattern on Ravelry. I love the original pattern, but it says to use thicker yarn than I have and a 5mm hook, so I re-wrote it a bit to make it suitable for DK yarn and a 3.5mm hook. I also added some little silver jingle bells I got in a massive 80 pack on Ebay.co.uk.
So that's what I've been up to this weekend - hope everyone had a great weekend too! :)
Yay they all look so wonderful! I love how the octopuses look so shy!
ReplyDeleteAnd the tooth is so cute! You could always try to crochet a little pocket onto the back of him and make him a lost tooth ami, I know I had one when I was little but it wasn't in the shape of a tooth. =]
Sooo glad your mojo is back!
YAY!! :-) Glad you're back!
ReplyDeleteLauren - I was just thinking the same thing - kids love to pop their teeth into a little toothy thing to wait for the tooth fairy!
Vicky
PS are you going to the Knit and Stitch Show at Alexandra Palace in October?? I went last year and our wool shop has organised a coach again this year... great for inspiration, bargains, and to natter with other woolly people ;-)
