Etsy... Saturday!

I've been neglecting my blog of late, and as a result am behind with all my posts. So Etsy Friday has been moved to Saturday this week. I hope to be more on-the-ball with posting updates next week ;)

This weeks theme: Rainbows!

I decided to make this weeks theme Rainbows after seeing these cute little coinholders by Magination! Aren't they cute?! I think my favourite one is either the orange or green one. Each pouch measures approx. 2" x 2", so they're small enough to attach to a bag or keyring.

Item Listing: Rainbow of Coinholder Keychains - Pick One
Shop: M-agination

12 wool felt balls make this fab bracelet by WishesAndSpells - I really like it! It fits a 6.7'' wrist, but can be made smaller or bigger depending on your own wrist size. I'd love to try felting - but like most crafts I want to try I don't know where to start! WishesAndSpells also has a matching necklace in her shop, which is also great!

Item Listing: Rainbow Bracelet
Shop: WishesAndSpells

Kawaii! I love this Psychedelic Jackalope by Tranifer! The discription says he enjoys raspberry tea, candy necklaces and spending time with other antlered bunnies. Aawww! Check out the listing page and see the 4th picture - he has a cute little pink tail!

Item Listing: Psychedelic Jackalope
Shop: Tranifer's Wonkey Critters

Random Photos No.4

This is a 'thing' hanging from the ceiling outside the entrance to The O2 Arena in Greenwich, London. I've been to The O2 many times for concerts, and this time I was there to see the fab Foo Fighters in 2007. Doesn't seem like 3 years ago! I'd gone with my younger brother Glen - I go with him to most concerts as we're both into the same stuff.

This is the view from where we were sitting! It's a long way up! There's a warning on the tickets saying if you are afraid of heights you shouldn't sit up there!

This is a picture from the show itself. Look at all the people! For this bit of the concert the band moved everything to the centre of the arena for an acoustic set, then returned to the stage.

It was a great day -I'd love to go see Foo Fighters again.

Stupid Blogspot

Blogspot is being stupid again and not letting me upload any photos. Does anyone else ever have this problem?!

Anyways, hope everyone had a nice weekend. I've been carrying on with the diet - I've lost almost half a stone! Yay! Though last week I hadn't lost anything so I'm making myself go out for a walk everyday now. I'm gonna get ready to go after I've typed this up actually. If it doesn't rain.

I've been asked to crochet a Shaun and Timmy The Sheep for a friend of my aunties - so that's what I've been up to on the crochet front lately. I've nearly finished Shaun _ I just have 2 legs to go and to attach the eyes, which are either going to be big googly eyes or felt - I haven't decided yet. Then it's on to Timmy. I've also started crocheting a blue and white Jellyfish for a friends baby that is due soon. I hope she'll like it!

The Monsties have been posted off to the winners. I didn't do it on Friday as I didn't go out in the end, so my Mum posted them off this morning; hopefully they should be arriving soon. I hope they all arrive safely, and that you're happy with them!

That's about all. I'll keep trying with the photos. Stupid Blogspot. I'm off for a walk.

    Diet

I usually don't make New Years resolutions, but this year I did - to loose weight.

I lost a bit of weight early least year - mainly because I've been told I have high cholesterol so I cut out a loud of fat from my diet. But I've put the weight back on over the last few months and it was getting a bit depressing over Christmas, so I decided to go on a 'diet' from 1st January.

It's been tough this week - there's still chocolates left over from Christmas and stuff, and I'm addicted to Coka-Cola, which has also been dropped. And tonight my family are having take away! What do I do?! It's soooo tempting, but I have to think about the diet. T'is cruel!

As part of my weight lose thing I've been after a Wii Fit Plus. Can I find one? No. All the shops in Basildon are sold out. They keep saying they'll have more in 'within a few days' but they never do. I looked on Ebay but they're so expensive. So at the moment I'm doing alot of walking. Even when it's snowing I can have a walk as we have a walking machine at home. Handy.

So that's what I've been up to mainly. I'll let you know how it goes (and whether or not I have that take away...)

    Etsy Friday - LafesHiddenTreasures

    This Week: LafesHiddenTreasures!

A few weeks ago the lovely Nancy from Lafes Hidden Treasures was kind enough to feature me on her blog, so in return I said I'd feature her fab Etsy shop on mine!

I love Nancys shop! It's full of cute vintage items, including this Appliqued Flower Quilt! Measuring 28'' square, each flower is appliqued by hand then machine sewn and can be used as either a wall hanging or table cloth. I love anything with flowers on it so this really appealed to me!

I'd like to say thanks again to Nancy for featuring my shop on her blog - it' really appreciated!

Reasons To Visit Japan Pt 4: Harajuku Girls

Harajuku Up & Close, originally uploaded by ajpscs.

Thought I'd bring back 'Reasons To Visit Japan', as I'm still saving to go!

One of the sights I'd love to see when I visit Japan are the Harajuku girls of Tokyo. I LOVE their style - it's so fun and cute! The epicentre of this teen culture is Takeshita Street and it's surrounding side streets, which are crammed with trendy clothes shops and boutiques, fast food outlets and crepe stands.

Visit Harajuku on a Sunday and you'll find many of them standing around Harajuku train station in their 'cosplay' gear. Cosplay is short for "costume play", and involves teens dressing up in various costume to represent a specific character, mainly from anime, manga, movies and video games.

I love the freedom these teens have - you could never dress like that in England and not be verbally abused and laughed at. So when I visit Japan I'm gonna go to Harajuku on a Sunday and see them for myself!

    Random Photo No. 3

I love The Mighty Boosh! This photo was taken at one of their shows at Wembley Arena in December 2008. On stage at the time was Tony Harrison - the weird pink thing with tentacles lol. I think my favourite character though is Old Gregg - he's hilarious!

    Happy New Year!

Just wanted to wish everybody a Happy New Year! I hope 2010 will be a great year for you all!

Also the blog will be up and running again soon - I'm in the middle of re-vamping it and my Etsy shop at the moment but hopefully things should get back to normal within a week. If I can just get my photos to look right...
