Finished!

I finally finished my Harajuku doll! I her called Midori.

I added some netting under her dress instead of another layer of crocheting. She has arm warmers, long socks, a bow in her hair, a little flower on her hip and a little scarf thing :o)

I'm happy with the way she turned out, and wouldn't mind making more in the future!

Almost Done!

I've almost finished my Harajuku doll lol! I crochet fast...

It's been going great; writing patterns as you go along is lots of fun so it's been enjoyable too. Only have the legs, face and clothes to do now.

I signed up for a Ravelry account today; it's confusing me a little lol! I'm sure I'll get the hang of it in time though!

Harajuku Doll

Lolita, of some flavor, originally uploaded by yoshiboshi.

The other day, whilst looking round on Flickr, I decided to make an amigurumi doll based on the Harajuku girls of Tokyo, Japan.

I love their style, and I wish we had the freedom in this country to dress like this! I'd be totally up for it!

This picture was one of my fav's, it's called 'Lolita, Of Some Flavor', by Yoshiboshi. Check them out here.

I will update on how the doll's going! I've done the arms so far, and part of the head. I'm making it up as I go along so it could take a while!

Etsy Friday: Wunderkind

Etsy Friday again! Wow, Fridays sure come round quickly lol!

This week I'm featuring the fab Etsy shop Wunderkind; who specialize in little hand painted Spool, Kinder, Wunder and Keshi Dolls.

I love this shop, and it's the place that first inspired me to make my own Kokeshi Dolls. Mine are obviously nothing like these though; these are amazing! I love the details, and the hair especially.

Check out the shop here.

Jellyfish And Walter!

Walter's arrived!! He was dropped off by the postman on 3rd June and has settled in nicely! I have set up a seperate blog for him, which is here.

The 2 weeks are up on the testing for my Jellyfish Amigurumi Pattern, so I put it on sale today! Check it out here. I like to give all my ami's names, so I chose to call him Jacob lol! No reason, it just began with a J!

I've asked on Craftster.org for testers for my Tilly The Turtle ami pattern, and again I had lots of lovely people willing to test it out for me :o) I should have the pattern perfected in about 2 weeks time and then put up in my Etsy shop :o)

Road Trip And Birthdays

On Sunday this past weekend I went with my Mum and Dad up to Norfolk and Suffolk for the day. I love going out in the car on long journeys!

We stopped off near Norwich, Hemsby, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and 2 Little Chefs along the way lol!

We went on the beach at Lowestoft; if was lovely and warm that day so we took advantage of it. The water was freezing though, so we only had a paddle! I'm like a little kid when it comes to the sea side lol!

I wish my LV Walter could've been with me, I'm really looking forward to him arriving!

Today's my Mum's 50th Birthday. I gave her money towards some jewellery, a little personalized tin and an amigurumi cactus. We had take away for T. It's a tradition in our family to have take away for T on our birthdays! Also I bought myself a Nintendo Wii! It's really fun! My arms ache already from playing the boxing game lol! It's excellent stress relief!
