Yarn Shopping

Needed yarn badly today, so it was off to my local market. I love buying my yarn from there as it’s nice and thick, without being expensive - £1.50 a ball. Though I did buy 8 balls and it cost me £12. I don’t usually buy that much at a time and the lady at the stall asked what on earth I needed all that yarn for!

I need it partly for a new pattern I bought from Roxycraft (http://roxycraft.com/pattern_shop.htm) the other day. I bought ‘Chilly’ - he’s so cute!! I’ve bought patterns from there before and they’re always really clear and well presented. So that’s what I need a lot of the yarn for.

I’m also working on a new range of Eggberts - Baby Eggbert Keyrings! They’re about 5 cm’s tall including the hair, and attached to a 4’’ ball chain. I’ve made about 5 so far; I hope to have them up on my Etsy shop some time over the weekend. Or early next week knowing me!

Where To Start?!

...Well, I better introduce myself first!

Hi; I'm Sarah. I'm 24 and I come from Basildon in Essex, England and I live with my Mum, Dad, brother and 3 pets. They are Kryten and Frankie the fishes and Nora the hamster. And as you can probably guess by the title of this blog I have OCD. I've had it for about 6 years now, and I bloody hate it. I get the usual 'Why don't you just stop?!' alot; if it was that easy I would've done so 6 years ago!

But I'm not gonna bang on about it on here, I might mention it here and there, but no-one wants to hear about that everyday!

My main 'thing' is arts and crafts. In particular crochet and amigurumi. I love it! It's like my therapy (CBT can only do so much, believe me!). I started to teach myself to crochet just under a year ago and I haven't stopped since! The main reason I learnt was because I wanted to make them cute little amigurumi animals I kept seeing on websites like Craftster. So I stuck at it, and now I sell some of the amigurumi I make on Etsy. I also write patterns, so I might post some of them on here every now and again.

My favourite film is *thinks* probably Donnie Darko. My favourite autobiography is My Booky Wook by Russell Brand (who is also my favourite comedian). My favourite food is chips (or 'fries', depending on where you're from) and my favourite drink is Coke Zero. Oh, and I love Heroes. Can't get enough of that programme!! Should be on telly again soon...

Well I think I’ve gone on long enough. Hopefully you know abit more about me now! I don't really mind if people read this blog or not - it's just a way for me to clear my head and say what I wanna say. But if you do read it that's great! I plan on having some feature posts soon, where I feature my favourite items from Etsy. But for now that's it.

Thanks for reading!
